Winter Fish Care
Posted on: Monday, December 11, 2006
Did you know that here in the Houston Area, Winter is an excellent time to add fish to your pond? The cooler waters of late Fall and Winter hold a lot more oxygen than the hot pond water of Summer and early Fall. This relieves a lot of potential stress for your fish, and makes it easier to introduce new fish to your pond.
Fish won't eat when the pond water is really cold. So observe them closely before feeding. If they are interested in food-feed them! If they are hovering at the bottom-don't! More more detailed information on Winter Fish Care click here.
