Cold Weather Tips

Worried about the cold weather? Well worry no more, mainly because you don’t really have to do much of anything for your pond or fountain.

Here is what to do.
1. Turn off your pond pump when the temps drop into the 30s and below. This way the water at the bottom of the pond will be warmer. Koi and Goldfish will be just fine, even if the pond freezes over. Plecos or Algae Eaters will not make it in the cold temperatures, if you want your pleco to live bring it inside or set up a halogen light/heater for them in the pond.
2. Fountains should be unplugged and drained when the temps stay in the 20s all day.
