It’s Tomato time again here along the Gulf Coast. Plant tomatoes now and you will harvest right up to the first freeze! Before the freeze pick the green tomatoes, they can be fried up as in Fried Green Tomatoes, or “sneak” them ino a smoothie or simply set the green tomatoes on your kitchen counter. Green tomatoes can take up to a month to turn red and yes they don’t taste as good. Buy hey, it will simply taste like grocery store tomatoes except these were free from your garden!
