My mom Anita is weird but she’s that cool kind of weird. Did you know you can buy a trailer load of mushroom compost from the Monterrey Mushroom farm in Madisonville, Tx? Let me tell you this stuff is amazing! and smelly! My husband Nick introduced me to the wonders of Mushroom compost when we did our first veggie garden and boy did we have a bountiful harvest that year. Now, mom wants a whole trailer load for Mother’s Day to beef up her garden! So it’s time for Nick and I to make a little road trip to Madisonville and get some of this great stuff. Make sure you call ahead they are only open certain days to pick up compost. Bring your nose plugs because this stuff is ripe!!
