August is a tricky month for gardeners especially in Texas. The weather is hot and humid but the ground is dry. Gardening in August is not for the faint of heart, you have to be willing to get out there and sweat your butt off. It’s tough to get out and keep up with your garden and that’s okay you can always come back to it later. One thing you shouldn’t wait to do is get that fall veggie garden going. You want to get your plants in the ground now so that they are ready to produce once the temperatures go down. (PLEASE HAPPEN SOON!!) At the moment we have Peppers and Tomatoes and they are included in our Frog Days of Summer 1/2off plant sale till the end of August (waterlilies are the only plants not on sale).
