Roses add a touch of elegance into the garden. Here at Nelson Nursery we only carry varieties that thrive in our Texas Climate and varying weather conditions. Drift Roses are a favorite of our resident Landscape Architect Peter Nelson due to their hardy nature and impressive amount of blooms. Currently (2025) we are not stocking Knock-Out Roses due to a very aggressive disease attacking established plants and new plants. (We hope to see this change in the future.) There are many other rose options to fill in for the Knock-Outs.
Climbing Roses are another incredible variety of rose. The Peggy Martin is usually in stock starting in the spring, this rose is known for being TOUGH! One of the few plants to survive after Hurricane Katrina hit the New Orleans area it is also a symbol of hope.
